The perils of the iphone

Brett dropped by the stooge yesterday, thought he'd do a quick systems update, clicked the wrong 'yes' and wiped all the numbers off his incredible iphone.

Photobucket

'Nah dude! This is shit! This is really shit! Oh shit, my numbers! Nah!'

Photobucket

Eventually, he saw the funny side. I know I did.

3 for $12

I spent an enjoyable end to the afternoon in the park, drinking a Coopers with Chris, who had just finished work,

Prior, who always has a few good stories to tell,

Dan, who has a strange way of doing up his shoelaces,

Leigh, who I just met, not sure what his story is

and Luke G, who had been on a shopping spree.

Photobucket

Prior was getting antsy because the free drinks had already started at an opening over in Armadale. Chris wasn't keen on going, because he felt he looked like a bum.

Photobucket

People can be cruel with their eyes. I think he looks happy!

Photobucket

But what do I know? Good times.

Cliched skate experience!

We were just cruising the streets of San Diego following the 'quake...

Photobucket

What do we have here?

Photobucket

Apparently, the abandoned house it's behind is an old brothel.

Photobucket

Sweet graffiti

Photobucket

Following a bit of fence-sitting, we sprang into action.

Photobucket

Didn't take too long to empty.

This guy Jeff shreds. He introduced himself to me as we left, even though we've met several times before. Must have been the moustache and new summer hat I was wearing, much like a disguise kit. Come to think of it, he looks a bit 'Guess who?' himself.

Photobucket

It was like skating a wallride. Kilderry handled it fine. I used the knee excuse.

After that, we ended up going to Frankston, which was awesome. Good times driving stories with Joey and Ryan. Then I went to Joey's for pizza and beer. We had to do a beer run, handled with characteristic charm by Joey:

Pot luck

We had a get together at our place on Sunday. It was a pot luck, so everyone had to bring something to eat. The results were spectacular, delicious and a tad overwhelming.

Photobucket

This was frst course, featuring Luke G's lamington surprise, Joey's never fail corn chips and salsa, my baba ganoush, Marilyn's Italian stack, Prior's finely cut fruit salad, Corinne's sweet chilli salad and Tim's vegan spanakopita. Just a taste of what was on offer over the course of the evening.

A lively debate arose on the identity of this toy mushroom. Rochelle maintains it is a sting ray.

Sarah made me a delicious cake and everything. They sang happy birthday, I mumbled a terrible speech and Prior finished it, thanking Sarah for me.

Photobucket

We kicked everyone out before midnight, being a 'school night' and everything. The next day, Sarah spoke to our neighbours and they said they didn't hear anything. Sweet, next time we should get some kegs and a band!

Photobucket

It was quite a gathering. Thanks to everyone who attended, sorry if I was a tad overwhelmed. Daylight saving is here, I say more pot lucks and bbq's all round.

Lobethal

Last week I went to Adelaide. On Wednesday, Anna and I drove up to Lobethal, which is best known as the town with the xmas lights. During the day, it has a great bakery and an assortment of scary stuff.

Photobucket

I found this quite frightening.

Photobucket

All the small bras had sold by the time we got to this shop.

Photobucket

We actually had to look into this and it wasn't as stupid as it sounds. With the Advertiser, you can never tell.

Photobucket

This peacock was in the scariest op-shop I've ever entered. Old testament music blaring, everything really expensive, weird woman at the desk.

Photobucket

Ha!

Photobucket

The old Police station now hosts a 'Jailhouse rock' night. This is actually really cool! Actually, maybe it's scary too.
